Our aims and objectives are outlined in our articles of association and they conform to the requirements of charity law. They are restricted to the following:

The promotion of any charitable purpose for the benefit of persons resident in the area... including:

1. the relief of poverty;
2. the advancement of education and the provision and assistance in the provision of training;
3. the preservation and protection of the environment of the area;
4. the provision or assistance in the provision of recreational and leisure time facilities in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life of the persons resident in the area.

How the CHCTCRP goes about attempting to achieve these objectives is best contained in the description of our projects.

Since the beginning, we have stuck to the strategy of limiting our work to four specific areas:

The St Luke's workload has taken the highest priority at the expense of our smaller schemes.

We are currently investigating other projects to expand our activities for the people of Canning Town.
